My 2020 Teaching as Inquiry - Play Based Learning

My name is Silivia and I am working at one of the Sommerville Satellite classes at Riverhills school. I have been working at Sommerville for many years.

I work with groups of students where their concentration, engagement, participation and attention span is short.

Reading “Neurodiversity” has shifted my mindset to highlight our student’s strengths and support their weaknesses. Therefore, my Inquiry this year is to focus on “Play-based learning”

I am grateful to be a part of Manaiakalani Community of Learning this year and I am looking forward to learning from others, work collaboratively to support teachers and students of our community.
